An article on the Saga Health website www.saga.co.uk/health_news/article/843B8824-7470-11D6-B8AA-00508BAEC55C.asp?bhcp=1 discusses the different approaches that can help ease painful joints. The article states that nearly two million people who suffer from Arthritis in the UK feel frustrated with consultations from healthcare professionals. Many people therefore turn to other viable alternatives to manage the pain associated. Although many are not clinically proven to be beneficial many people turn to supplements, however two have proved to be beneficial, these being Fish Oil and Glucosamine and chondroitin. Diet can also pay an important role, and although it is not proved that excluding particular foods can can help, if you do find that certain foods seem to make you worse it would be worth avoiding them. The article also states that the right kind of exercise may be beneficial for relieving some pain. If you have any comments on this or if you suffer from a form of arthritis it would be good to hear how you deal with the pain.
